All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Rivers, Dr Dakuku Peterside, has promised to develop a new Bori City with modern infrastructure to decongest Port Harcourt if elected.

Peterside made the promise during campaign in Bori, Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State.

“The new Bori town, with well laid out streets and lights, would be cited around the school to land axis,” he said,.

He said his administration would focus on developing infrastructure in the area so as attract investors.

“We will build infrastructure to drive the economy of the state and Saakpaenwa/Bori/Kono road is one strategic road we would deliver in two years if elected”, he said.

Peterside added that the first step in building infrastructure was to complete all ongoing road projects initiated by Governor Chubuike Amaechi.

He said his administration would focus on agriculture, aquaculture and agro-allied industries, and build cottage industries around in the area.

“We are ready to create wealth for the Khana man and woman, to lift our people out from poverty”, he stressed.
