A Poem dedicated to Ken Saro-Wiwa and the Ogoni9 by NekaBari Nwika

OGONILAND

Ogoniland
Our promise land
The people’s pride
The world’s prey

Our oil
Our fertile land
Our streams and its treasures
Oh! What a legacy

Ogoniland
The struggle crowd
The victory-sure land
The mass joint

Our classrooms
Our talents and culture
Our future Our life

Our past stars
Our offsprings
Our fore-father’s land
Our forth-kids land
