OGONI/NIGER DELTA NEWS WOMEN-BASED NGO APPLICATION

GENERAL INFORMATION:

OGONI/NIGER DELTA NEWS has recently been contacted by Forever Italy Ltd an Italian-based organisation to help them search for a women-based NGO to partner with. It aims to provide supports for such organisation in order for them to achieve their set goals and objectives.

To this end, and to be fair to all eligible Ogoni-based organisations, we have created this form to collect data on existing organisations in Ogoni. We plan to critically look into the activities of the organisation and to subsequently select the best organisation. 

Please note that only organisations that meet the following criteria are eligible to apply:

  1. women-based organisation involved in agriculture and/or fishing which have direct impact on society
  2. NGO activities must be concentrated in the Ogoni area.
  3. NGO must have been supporting women and children as part of their operational activities.

HURAC is a club instituted by the Movement For the Survival of the Ogoni People, which is open to all secondary schools within and outside Ogoni and also to all intending members. It`s currently operating in Riv-Poly secondary school, its division HQTRS, and also in CSS Bori, ACGS Bori, BMGS Bori and some Portharcourt schools. It has Kate, Wisdom Deebeke as its pioneer Senior Chief Co-ordinator. It was inaugurated in Riv-Poly by the INTELLECTUAL ELITE BATCH, with Tuaka Jeremiah as the appointed Chairman as at then.
