In this Poem dedicated entirely to Dr Barinem Kiobel, Mrs Kiobel Esther has used ”NOVEMBER TEN” as an acronym to express her love and passion for her late husband who was, among others, killed by hanging by the Nigerian Military Government 17 years ago.
NOVEMBER TEN
Neither the passing years nor events can erase your memory
Only if I could rewind the hand of the clock
Very tempting to wish I could rescue you from death’s claws
Every day my heart daydreams of your return
Memories of your sweet voice comes echoing
But the truth dawns on me the more I think of you
Eternally shall we meet again, not in this cruel world
Rest in peace, my darling, especially on this special day
This day can never be expunged from history
Every generation shall hear of your heroic demise
Neither the passing years nor events can erase your memory
(A special poem in memory of my darling husband, Hon. (Dr.) Barinem Nubari Kiobel)
As Written By Mrs Kiobel Esther.
