Nov 10: Their Love For Us Led Them To Die – MOSOP USA

We’ve being through so much calamity and has endured so much as a people, we sat and watched our most prized possessions and ones we held so dear to our hearts ripped away from us in a blink of an eye. Yes, Shell must pay for all it has done to our people and our land but the betterment of us and our land “WILL NOT” and I repeat, “WILL NOT” be a success till we come together as a unit (family) to fight against the amassed evil done to us.

We need to stop letting our egos get in the way of working with our leaders that have a positive goal for our cause than looking down on them because we had preferred one else, let us give him or her a chance to prove him/herself before throwing him under the bus. Let us put together ourselves, our houses and our community, so Ogoni can be put together as a collective unit.

We have come a long way, from the bottom of the ladder to well-known people amongst our nation; of course the prize of that status was too high for us. What have we done as a people especially the diaspora, to show our heroes that their blood runs not in vain? Ken Saro-Wiwa and his apostles sacrifice the last of and in them for our freedom. So, I ask each one of us that knows what MOSOP means.

What have you done for the MOVEMENT OF THE SURVIVAL OF THE OGONI PEOPLE? Remember all you (diaspora) are on this land to date are due to the blood of our magnificent loved ones. Let us take that bloody and weeping day November 10th to remember them and the love they had for us and our land and also, joining our Mosop communities to support the MOVEMENT OF THE SURVIVAL OF THE OGONI PEOPLE, not by going to Mosop meetings eating aba, jellof rice and spewing nonsenses out of our mouths, but by coming together to put our house together and help our people back home and the Ogoniland.

Let us use that day to reflect on our heroes and what to do for their vision to become a reality for our people and our land. And, trust that if we have one goal (SURVIVAL OF THE OGONI PEOPLE) in mind, nothing and no one can stop us. What legacy are you leaving for the next generation? Are we so Americanized that we are ashamed of our roots, culture and struggle? Please, if we are wise, we will not bite the very hand that fed us because our toes can’t simply do the job.

One loves to you all Great Ogoni People!
