2013 OGONI9 REMEMBRANCE DAY: HURAC To Resume Activities Friday Nov. 1st.

We are delighted to inform you that HURAC will resume activities on Facebook and its news website beginning Friday Nov. 1st ahead of Ogoni Heroes’ Day on Nov. 10th.

We have halted activities on all our sites since Sept. 20th as our site admin, and HURAC International Representative, Mr Kate, Wisdom Deebeke is currently busy with his studies.  Despite this, we have deemed it necessary to resume activities to showcase our concerns for the Ogoni9 and the Nov. 10 episode that revolutionise human rights standard in Nigeria and the world at large.

We are currently working to ensure that every plugin we currently use on our site is up-to-date as we prepare to relay to you news from within Ogoni, the Niger Delta and great speeches from Ken Saro-Wiwa and the other victims of the Nov. 10th brutal killings before their painful demise.  Moreover, we have redesigned our news website to have the feel of Nov. 10th 1995.

We therefore, implore you to submit articles about the OGONI9 and events that led to their death in 1995.  Tell the world, in pen and paper, the story that moved some world human rights organisations in 1995 to query, and even suspend the Nigerian government from their folds.  Your articles will be featured on our ever-growing news website.  Article submissions are welcome from Nov. 1st through Saturday Nov. 9th.  Please send your articles to ogoni9@huraclub.org.

This information is brought to you from the

Office of HURAC International Representative, and Site Admin,

Mr Kate, Wisdom Deebeke

For and on behalf of all HURAC members.
