Deputy Speaker Celebrates Birthday With Rivers Youth, Urges Them To Support Amaechi

The Deputy Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly,Hon.Leyii Kwanee has urged Rivers youths to give unflinching support to Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi in this critical moment of his political career.

Speaking at the occasion of his birthday which was held at le Meridien hotel and witnessed by youths drawn from across the state,Tueday evening,the Deputy Speaker said that Governor Amaechi is a Rivers patriot and that his vision remain to uplift the living standard of the average Rivers man.

The Deputy Speaker who is also the member representing Khana Constituency 2 in the Assembly,advised the leadership of PDP at the national level to disregard those who are feeding it with wrong information that they can do without the governor.

He said that the governor is very strong and will remain strong at the grassroots in the state.  This, he said his opponents have admitted and that is why they are embarking on grassroots mobilization which they lacked.  Continuing,the Deputy Speaker who is also the Chairman,Parliamentary Exchange and Mentorship Programme of the Pan African Parliament,said that the option left for PDP if they are interested in Rivers State is to intervene and have amicable solution adding that those people that are deceiving them as high and mighty in the state are paper tigers.

Hon.Kwanee implored the youths to go to their wards,communities, villages and educate the grassroots to remain unflinching with the governor adding that the achievements of Gov. Amaechi speak volume for him.  He said that time has gone when Rivers people are dished with propaganda to deceive them pointing out that Rivers people know who is who and who is sincere in the cause of the Rivers man.  The Deputy Speaker appealed to the Abuja based politicians to bring back their excess wealth and establish small and medium scale industries as done by big men in other states in order to complement the creation of employment policy embarked by Governor Amaechi rather than use the wealth to fight the government of their state.
