I pray that the rest of the plaintiffs and l should be granted a day in court to prove our case. $hell(SPDC) like any other responsible person, should be brought to justice for their role in gross human rights violations. Nothing is more important than denying sanctuary to the perpetrators of gross human rights abuses and helping the victims get redress. Shell is asking the United states supreme court for a free pass. Shell wants to do business in United states and use this country’s court to protect it’s corporate interests without being subject to liability for aiding and abetting serious human rights violations overseas. lt is arguing that the Alien Tort statue law adopted by the first congress to permit suits for violations of basic human rights, does not apply to wrongful acts commited on foreign soil.
I was stripped naked, tortured, and locked up twice, while my husband, the rest Ogoni 8 were mained, strangled, killed and acidized. I seek justice for Shell’s genocidal activities. They should be brought to justice and punish perpetrators of human rights abuses. l and the rest of the plaintiffs were brought into United states as Refugees, and now citizens of united states. We will want our case to be heard here so we can get justice. l wish to beg the supreme court to favour the oppressed.

HURAC is a club instituted by the Movement For the Survival of the Ogoni People, which is open to all secondary schools within and outside Ogoni and also to all intending members. It`s currently operating in Riv-Poly secondary school, its division HQTRS, and also in CSS Bori, ACGS Bori, BMGS Bori and some Portharcourt schools. It has Kate, Wisdom Deebeke as its pioneer Senior Chief Co-ordinator. It was inaugurated in Riv-Poly by the INTELLECTUAL ELITE BATCH, with Tuaka Jeremiah as the appointed Chairman as at then.
